We ask teenagers to choose a future before they’ve had a chance to meet themselves.

When many of my career counselling clients find their way to therapy, they’re in their thirties or forties—disillusioned, not because they’ve failed, but because they’ve succeeded in a career that no longer fits.

They say things like:

  • “I’m good at what I do, but not happy.”

  • “I thought this was the dream, but I feel numb.”

  • “Is it too late to start over?”

We uncover this: your career can evolve as you evolve. It should. You are allowed to grow beyond the limits of an old decision.

Career therapy isn’t about quitting your job tomorrow. It’s about making room for you in your own life. It’s about understanding the difference between what you’re good at and what nourishes you.

Sometimes, it’s a pivot. Sometimes, it’s a leap. But most often, it’s permission to change.

You are not trapped. You are not late. You are simply arriving.
